Bio: General Manger for Toth Buick GMC

I’m 3rd Generation- Grandfather started Toth Motor Sales in Berea Ohio 1936..

My Father bought Summit Buick in Akron in 1972.

I have spent significant time in every department in our family Dealership over the last 35 years.

I Work with brothers Steve and Nick, Nephew Josh-sales, cousin George-Body shop manager.

The Auto industry is changing fast and I feel that the more involved and informed I can be, the better we can serve our customers and the community.

Bio: I am a partner with my brother Mike VanDevere in a locally owned family auto business.

We are the third generation in the family business that started 75 years ago with my grand father Rudy VanDevere.

My primary responsibility is overseeing our Buick and Kia location on W Market st. and preparing the next generation for the family business.

My Brother Mike has 8 kids and I have 6.

Currently, we have 5 of the next generation working with us full time.

It is a blessing to work with family. Years back my father, Joe VanDevere, served for the Dealer Association and so has my brother.

The Dealer Association has served our family for many years and it is my turn to give back.

Bio: After graduating in 1982 Miami of Ohio with a Bachelor of philosophy in Interdisciplinary studies (with a center in advertising & accounting) I started working at Cascade full time.

I have been Used Car Manager, New Car Manger, Advertising Manager, On Line Reputation Manger and through out a sales person.

In 1985 I attended the National Automobile Associations “Dealer Candidate Academy”. My Father, Don Primm, retired sometime in the 1990’s. My Sister Michelle Primm is our managing Partner and my Brother Mike Primm is our fixed operations director.

The Primm Family believes in giving back to the local community and industry.

I have been on several boards including the Akron BBB, CASA/GAL, the Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealer’s Association and of course the Northern Ohio Automobile Dealers Association. NOADA involvement for me is important to help promote the auto industry as good corporate citizens. Working together as a team the auto dealers can better navigate the rough patches in our industry, better police each other to keep the proper business standards and to better help the community when possible.

I have served on this board for nearly 20 years!
